Fahem Coffee Plantation: From Bean to Beyond
The journey of Fahem General Trading PLC is one of passion, growth, and deep-rooted commitment to Ethiopian coffee. It all began with Mohammed Lalo and Mohammed Muzeyin, who started as local used clothes merchants and transitioned into coffee pickers in the late 1990s. Their firsthand experience with coffee sparked a vision that led them to become local coffee suppliers by the early 2000s.
In 2006, Fahem reached a major milestone when it acquired its own farm in the Oromia Limmu region. This marked the beginning of Fahem’s journey into sustainable farming and allowed them to oversee every stage of coffee production. By 2013, with their growing capacity and expertise, Fahem ventured into exporting, sharing their coffee with markets around the globe.
As an active contributor to the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) since its early days, Fahem General Trading PLC remains a trusted coffee supplier, dedicated to delivering quality coffee while adapting to the changing needs of specialty and commercial markets.
